Michigan Lighthouse Collection
 |
Michigan has 120 lighthouses, more than any other state. Since the late 1970's the U.S. Coast Guard began automating and decommissioning these sentinals of the Great Lakes. Now, through community and government support, the landmarks are being preserved for future generations. This collection is a historic record of the numerous Great Lakes Lighthouses and Life Saving Stations in Michigan.
